CALPIRG is a student-directed and student-funded nonprofit at eight of the UC campuses. We work to defend the environment, protect public health, and and promote civic engagement. We have been active at the UCs for over 45 years and have accomplished a lot, including working to increase federal financial aid by $36 billion, helping to ban plastic grocery bags in California, and registering over 60,000 students to vote. We also got the UC’s to switch to 100% clean electricity. We are funded by tens of thousands of UC students and thousands of UCLA students that contribute through the CALPIRG voluntary pledge fee. This gives us the resources to hire our own professional staff that work with students to research problems and solutions, write bills and lobby our elected officials in Sacramento and Washington DC, and run effective grassroots campaigns to win. Each CALPIRG pledge is crucial in giving us the resources to fight for students, and our environment and democracy. Pledge CALPIRG to support our work to turn out the youth vote in fall!

Pledge right now to support CALPIRG.

Once at least 15% of the student body has pledged to pay the voluntary CALPIRG fee, then I, too, agree to support CALPIRG by paying the $10/quarter CALPIRG voluntary pledged fee each quarter that I’m a student at UCLA. Please bill me for this fee every quarter.

I understand that if I no longer wish to be billed for the CALPIRG fee, I must turn in a pledge reversal card.

Federal Privacy Act Notification: I understand that CALPIRG may see this form in the billing process.

No student will be billed the CALPIRG fee unless 10% of the student body has pledged to pay the fee. If less than 15% of the students participating in the association(s) has paid the CALPIRG fee, a student referendum or vote of the student government must be held in order to continue billing the CALPIRG fee. Reversal forms are available through CALPIRG. For questions or reversals, please contact CALPIRG [email protected].

By providing my contact information, I consent to have CALPIRG and its affiliates contact me on my phone by voice and/or text message with information about this or other campaign and activities.
