CALPIRG is a student-directed and student-funded nonprofit. We work to defend the environment, protect public health, and and promote civic engagement. We have been active for over 45 years and have accomplished a lot, including working to increase federal financial aid by $36 billion, helping to ban plastic grocery bags in California, and registering 50,000 students to vote. We also got the University of California campuses to switch to 100% clean electricity.

Our priority now is turning out the vote.

In 2020, our generation will be the largest and most diverse group in the country, with our own values and our own ideas. We have the power to elect leaders who care about the things we do, and who will fight for the future we want, but only if we vote.

So CALPIRG is working to register and turnout the youth vote and make sure our voices are HEARD in the general election this fall!

The best way you can support this campaign is by becoming a member of CALPIRG and adding our $5-$10 student activities fee.

The reason we’re so effective is because thousands of students at college campuses across the state decide to join our statewide organization by giving small ongoing gifts. This gives us the political power, staff training, and resources to win big campaigns.

Pledge right now to support CALPIRG.
