The AmeriCorps Members in CALPIRG’s Energy Service Corps Campaign Educated 600 school kids from 1st grade to 5th grade today at a local elementary school dressed in homemade costumes. The costumes featured energy efficient light bulbs and energy star appliances. They educated each grade level in the cafeteria with fun games and posters with images of clean energy and the right ways to save energy. All grade levels increased their test scores, their knowledge about energy use, and learned new forms of renewable energy!
