We are really concerned about the impacts of global warming on California and our planet, and we are tired of watching nothing be done to change our consumption.
To end our dependence on polluting fossil fuels, California needs vastly more solar energy than we have today.
We, as young adults, want to be able to afford to go solar when we own our own homes and, more importantly, we want to see solar on rooftops all across the state.
But in order to achieve this vision, consumers need to be paid fairly for the solar electricity generated on their home.
That is why I am here- on behalf of the CALPIRG student chapters and the more than 7,000 students who signed our petition urging this Commission to protect net metering, reject new fees, and continue to expand solar access and affordability to all Californians.
